Anthony Mastromauro has been Chief Executive Officer of Identity Films since its inception in 2006. Prior to his foray into the entertainment industry, Mr. Mastromauro held the position of Senior Vice President at the Wall Street firm of Oppenheimer & Co where he worked for eight years. Initially a trader, Mr. Mastromauro was instrumental in creating the Institutional Preferred Stock Trading and Sales arm for the firm.
In 1997, Mr. Mastromauro left Wall Street to pursue other interests. He spent several years learning the film and television industry by producing several award winning short films. After the festival circuit success of several produced films he joined Peter Sahagan's Ardustry Entertainment in 2002 as an Executive Vice President and oversaw all financial and creative operations, as well as actively looking for other entertainment based opportunities for the company. In doing so, Mastromauro targeted the former Unapix Entertainment library, consisting of over 600 film and television titles, and was ultimately instrumental in the overall acquisition. This acquisition triggered the formation of Ardustry Home Entertainment (AHE), which is now Allumination Filmworks (AF). AF is now a recognized distribution company in the world of independent film and television production.
While at Ardustry, Mr. Mastromauro produced several feature films, including: King of the Corner, directed by Peter Riegert and stars Mr. Riegert, Isabella Rossellini, Rita Moreno and Eric Bogosian, as well as The Orphan King directed by Andrew Wilder, starring Chris Evans, Alexis Bledel and Bill Pullman.
Since starting Identity Films, the company has produced three feature films, the most recent being As Cool As I Am, directed by Max Mayer, starring James Marsden, Claire Danes and Sarah Bolger, as well as Moonlight Serenade directed by Giancarlo Tallarico, which stars Amy Adams, Alec Newman, and Harriett Sansom Harri, and Artie Lange's Beer League directed by Frank Sebastiano, starring Artie Lange and Ralph Macchio.
